Redesigned Bucket Blends Sustainability, Functionality
2XL Corp.’s redesigned wipes container combines sustainability with functionality, featuring curbside recyclability, 50% PCR content, and user-friendly improvements. 2XL Corp. replaced an HDPE bucket of wipes with a polypropylene bucket that’s registered as curbside recyclable by How2Recycle.
2XL Corp., a leading manufacturer of pre-moistened cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting wipes and towelettes, has introduced a new wipes bucket that combines functionality, sustainability, and style for a better user experience across all markets.
Now curbside recyclable
Thanks to a switch from high-density polyethylene to polypropylene (PP) for both the bucket and lid, the company’s Super Seal Bucket is now curbside recyclable.
Registered with the How2Recycle program, the packaging proudly displays the logo on the back of the preprinted buckets. Even better, each bucket is made with 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, clearly noted along the front base. It’s the company’s first bucket made with PCR.
Refined, functional design
A streamlined look makes the Super Seal Bucket look less industrial and more suitable for public or high-visibility spaces.
A hidden handle tucks neatly into the lid when not in use, maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.
In a user-friendly upgrade, 2XL replaced a sticker-style tamper seal with a hermetically sealed, tamper-evident pull-tab recessed within a “wipe well.” A new cross-hatched opening design ensures better wipe separation — reliably delivering one wipe per pull for an improved user convenience.
The bucket also integrates seamlessly with all 2XL stands and dispensers, featuring an easy-to-load design and clear labeling for quick product identification. In addition to the sustainability improvements, the new bucket is loaded with customer and consumer-friendly details.

Reusable and refillable
Built for durability and reuse, the bucket supports sustainability over the longer term. Refill packs in flexible packaging range from $25–$30, compared with $35–$40 for a full bucket, offering customers both environmental and cost savings.
“Our new Super Seal Bucket reflects 2XL’s mission to continually evolve and improve —not only in cleaning performance but also in design, usability, and sustainability,” says Bob Giammanco, 2XL founder and president. “It’s a smarter solution for today’s facilities with the same reliable wipes our customers trust every day.”
A gentler experience
Giammanco notes the redesign took about a year, with Engage Creative’s Wally Pacheco providing graphic design guidance that improved front-and-back of bucket communication.
The polypropylene lid also can be removed and resealed more easily — avoiding what Giammanco calls the typical “paint bucket–style frustration. It’s a gentler experience.”
2XL’s customers include athletic clubs, schools, and medical offices. The company offers 10 products in the 3-gallon bucket size, with wipe counts ranging from 700 to 2,300.
